Beach Club
Sunbeds, private cabanas, pool and house music, 11 AM–10 PM daily.
A group stay at a North Goa beach resort works best when the organiser settles three things before anyone pays: the room mix, a place where everyone can gather, and the house rules. At Marbela in Morjim, Family Rooms take up to four adults, the VIP Terrace seats 60, and bookings are non-refundable, so collect money before you confirm.

Luxury Cottage
Plan on Family Rooms for four and couple rooms for two, then fill the gaps. A Marbela Family Room has a master bedroom plus an additional room and takes families or groups of up to four adults, so it's the building block for friends who don't mind sharing. The resort's other categories, the Luxury Cottage, Premium Cottage, Villa Room and Spa Villa Room, suit couples. Everything depends on availability for your dates, so treat the table as arithmetic, not a promise.
| Group | One way to split it | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|
| 6 friends | 1 Family Room + 1 couple room | The easiest size to place |
| 10 people | 2 Family Rooms + 1 couple room | Ask for rooms near each other |
| 20 guests | 5 Family Rooms, or 3 Family Rooms + 4 couple rooms | Book early; peak dates fill first |
| Family with teenagers | Family Room | Children above 12 are charged as adults, ₹2,360 a night with an extra mattress |
A group that sleeps in six rooms still needs one place to be together, and that is where Marbela's shared spaces matter more than the rooms. By day, the beach club runs 11 AM–10 PM with sunbeds, private cabanas with personalised service, the outdoor pool and house music from resident and guest DJs, which gives a group a natural base without anyone hosting. Cabana pricing isn't published, so call or WhatsApp for current rates. For a sit-down dinner, Meso is open until 11 PM and serves sharing-friendly food such as the Italian seafood platter of prawns, calamari, fish and grilled vegetables at ₹1,600, plus pizzas and chargrilled kebabs. For a private evening, the VIP Terrace is an open-air lounge with sea views that seats 60, and the fully air-conditioned AC Deck Lounge, with floor-to-ceiling glass facing the sea, can be booked privately. A group of 20 fits the terrace comfortably. Both are handled by the events team.
Share these in the group chat on day one; they cause most of the friction on arrival.
Sometimes, but nothing is published at Marbela, so ask. Call reservations on +91 91588 81185 with dates, head count and the room mix you want, and ask the events team on +91 91588 81180 if you also want a private dinner or terrace. A written quote covering rooms, meals and any event space is easier to split among a group than a handful of separate bookings.
Plan transport yourself, because Marbela doesn't advertise a shuttle. From Mopa airport, Morjim is about 28–30 km, roughly 50–60 minutes, and a sedan taxi typically costs around ₹1,000–1,500; bigger groups can book larger vehicles or several app cabs such as GoaMiles. Groups flying in from different cities should agree a meeting time at the resort rather than at the airport, since the room keys aren't available until 2 PM anyway. Anyone landing at Dabolim needs roughly 1 hour 30–40 minutes by road. For day trips, Chapora Fort is about 13–15 km away over the Siolim bridge, Anjuna's flea market runs on Wednesdays in season, and the Saturday Night Market at Arpora suits a weekend. Scooters are common, but only for riders with licences and helmets. Our guide to getting around North Goa compares options.
For a birthday, a reunion or a family gathering, yes. For a bachelor party that wants clubs until the early hours, Morjim is too quiet and you'll spend a lot on taxis; read our bachelor party guide first. A work group should look at the corporate retreat guide.
Check live availability for each room type on the booking engine, then call +91 91588 81185 or email info@marbelabeach.com to hold rooms together. Pets are welcome; mention them when booking.
It depends on room availability for your dates. Share the head count and preferred room mix with reservations on +91 91588 81185; five Family Rooms at up to four adults each is one way to fit 20.
Not at Marbela, where outside food, beverages and liquor aren't allowed. The Island Bar and Meso Bar serve drinks on site.
Yes. The beach club, Meso restaurant and the VIP Terrace, which seats 60, all work for groups, and the AC Deck Lounge can be booked privately.
Marbela doesn't refund cancellations or no-shows, and the full stay is charged. Collect payment from everyone before confirming rooms.
Yes. Morjim suits groups that want beach days and dinners together, while Anjuna and Vagator, about 25–45 minutes away, suit groups that want late nights.
