What is the fastest way from Mumbai to Morjim?

Flying is fastest: about an hour in the air, then the short drive from Mopa. The Konkan Railway runs overnight trains to North Goa, and Thivim is the usual station for the north coast; it suits people who'd rather sleep on the way than take leave on Friday. Driving is a long, full day each way along the coast or via Kolhapur, which rarely makes sense for two nights.

How do you time flights around check-in and check-out?

Match your flights to the resort's clock, because a weekend has no slack. Marbela's check-in is 2 PM and check-out 11 AM, and early check-in or late check-out depends on availability and costs extra. A Friday evening flight is the easiest pattern: land at Mopa after dark, reach Morjim within the hour, and your room has been waiting since the afternoon. A Friday morning flight lands you before the room is ready. Landing at 11 AM puts you at the resort around 12:15 PM, which is fine; lunch at Meso, open from 11 AM, fills the gap. Landing at 7 AM means a six-hour wait, so book Thursday night if you want the room on arrival, since that's the only way to guarantee early check-in. Sunday works the other way round. After an 11 AM check-out, the beach club stays open until 10 PM and Meso until 11 PM, so a Sunday flight around 8 or 9 PM leaves a full afternoon on the beach. What does a two-night Morjim weekend look like?

Keep it local; a weekend spent in taxis to Baga isn't a rest. Friday night: arrive, dinner at Meso until 11 PM. Saturday: Morjim Beach in the morning, when it's emptiest; swim between Drishti's red-and-yellow flags. Afternoon at the beach club with sunbeds, cabanas and the shared pool, then sunset, which in Goa falls roughly between 6:00 PM and 7:10 PM depending on the month. Saturday evening, the Arpora Saturday Night Market runs in season. Sunday: Chapora Fort, about 13–15 km over the Siolim bridge, early before the heat, then back for lunch and the club until your taxi. Coming from Pune, Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad or Chennai?

The same rule holds: aim for Mopa if flights suit, since it's the closer airport to Morjim. Pune is the one city from which some people drive, through the Western Ghats, but it takes most of a day, so it suits a three-night trip better. From Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad and Chennai, a flight is the only practical option for a weekend. From Delhi, add a Monday or leave on Thursday night; two nights feels short once flight times are counted. Whichever city you fly from, check whether the cheaper fare lands at Dabolim instead of Mopa. The extra 30–40 minutes of road each way can wipe out the saving on a short trip, and taxis from Dabolim to Morjim cost more for the longer distance. A Thursday-night arrival also lets you catch Mapusa's market, busiest on Fridays, on the way in.
