How to get to Morjim Beach from Goa airport, planned around your landing time
To get to Morjim Beach from Goa airport, take a prepaid or app taxi from Manohar International Airport at Mopa: about 28–30 km, roughly 50–60 minutes, approx. ₹1,000–1,500 for a sedan. From Dabolim, allow roughly 1 hour 30–40 minutes. Your landing time decides the rest of the plan.

What is the quickest way from Goa airport to Morjim Beach?
A taxi from Mopa is the quickest and simplest way to Morjim Beach. There is no rail link to Morjim and no airport express to the northern beaches, so nearly everyone arrives by car. At Mopa you have two good choices: the prepaid taxi counter in arrivals, where you pay a fixed fare before you get in, or an app cab such as GoaMiles, which shows the fare upfront. A sedan to Morjim typically costs approx. ₹1,000–1,500, depending on operator, time and season.
Groups, families with a lot of luggage, and anyone landing late should consider a driver pre-booked through a local operator, with the fare and vehicle size confirmed in writing. Self-drive rental cars suit confident drivers staying a week or more, but village roads in Pernem are narrow and poorly lit at night. Buses have run from the airports, but routes change and involve changes with luggage, so they are for light packers only. Many travellers search for a Morjim resort with airport pickup. Marbela Beach Resort does not advertise an airport pickup or shuttle, so plan one of the options above.
Arrival plans by landing time
Your landing time matters more than your transport choice, because check-in at Marbela is at 2:00 PM and early check-in depends on availability at extra cost. These plans assume about 30 minutes from landing to leaving the terminal and a 50–60 minute drive from Mopa.
| You land at Mopa | You reach Morjim | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| 7:00 AM | About 8:30 AM | Book the previous night; it is the only way to guarantee a room this early |
| 11:00 AM | About 12:30 PM | Leave bags, have lunch at Meso (opens 11:00 AM), keys at 2:00 PM |
| 2:30 PM | About 4:00 PM | Room ready; walk to the sand for sunset |
| 9:30 PM | About 11:00 PM | Pre-book your driver; Meso closes at 11:00 PM, so eat before you arrive |
Landing at Dabolim instead? Add roughly 40 minutes to an hour to each arrival time, more in evening traffic around Panaji. Our comparison of Mopa and Dabolim for North Goa explains when Dabolim still makes sense.
What should you tell the taxi driver?
Give the driver the full address and the map pin, not just "Morjim", because the village is spread out along the coast. Marbela Beach Resort is at H.No. 782, Gawde Wada, Ashvem Road, Morjim, Pernem, Goa 403512, and the pin is 15.6380821, 73.720674. Note the spelling: the road is signed Ashvem Road, while the beach just north is usually written Ashwem, so share the map pin rather than relying on either spelling. Save the address and the reservations number, +91 91588 81185, offline before you fly, since mobile data can be slow at the arrivals kerb. Agree the fare before loading luggage with any taxi that is not prepaid or booked in an app. The drive from Mopa runs through the villages of Pernem taluka towards the coast and is straightforward in daylight. At night, a driver who knows the area is worth more than a small saving.
A late or early arrival at the resort
The first hours at the resort depend on whether your room is ready, so plan them before you land. Early arrivals can leave bags, sit down for lunch at Meso and get the journey out of their system. Grilled Calamari and Prawns with organic brown rice and garlic beurre blanc is ₹850 as listed on the Meso restaurant page. For a morning flight with a room waiting, book the night before. Late arrivals should confirm with reservations that the booking notes a late check-in. Everyone needs a valid photo ID at the desk: passport, driving licence, voter ID or PAN card. Our guide to early check-in and late check-out covers the options.

- Carry some cash in case a card or UPI payment fails.
